1. About the university

The University of Economics in Bratislava, established in 1940, is one of the most important educational and research-oriented institutions in the Slovak Republic. It offers study programmes in economics, business, management, political science, linguistics and intercultural communication at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels.

Its research activities mainly focus on economic growth and competitiveness; globalisation, financial markets and international business; employment and labour market rigidities, social security systems; economics of governance and financial markets regulation; and the impact of cultural dimensions on international business management. The University has over 8,000 students, 7 faculties, 68 study programmes, and 5 double degree programmes.
